TravelFC is a new service developed to ease the pressure on travelling to football matches and other major events.

TravelFC lets fans view live local information including CCTV camera images of motorway and A-road hotspots, the location of approved match day car parks, and public transport information including up-to-the-minute tram, train and bus times – all with integrating live information on delays and incidents.

Not only does TravelFC provide essential traffic and travel information but it offers fans valuable tourist information and points of interest including local hotels, restaurants and welcoming pubs.

The first football club to implement TravelFC is Manchester United. Manchester United launched TravelFC to help get fans to Old Trafford on time, take the stress out of the pre-match travel and improve their match day experience.

Phil Townsend, Director of Communications for Manchester United commented: "The huge crowds that attend games at Old Trafford create their own challenges for the transport system in the area."

The first service of its kind, TravelFC is free to download on virtually any handset. Supporters simply text 'travelfc mu' to 60070.
